Following the High court ruling yesterday on the switch-off dates from analog to digital broadcasting, the Digital Television Committee (DTC) has this morning, 24th December 2013, arrived at a date, to commence phase one of the migration to the digital platform. The digital migration scheme is set to mark an end to terrestrial TV, creating expanded channel capacity for consumers and also free up vital capacity necessary to deliver mobile broadband services in the country. The communication will be made at the Ministry of Information and Communication offices at Teleposta Towers at 4 PM today by ICT Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Matiang’i, the CCK representatives, and the Digital Television Committee.
