Samsung Electronics East Africa, Mobile Division, was awarded the 2014 Best Practice Award for Kenyan Mobile Phones Competitive Strategy Innovation and Leadership at the Frost & Sullivan Influential Awards on 14th August 2014.
The award was received by IM Director; Mr. Manoj Changarampatt, at a banquet dinner organized by Frost & Sullivan in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Frost & Sullivan Best Practice Awards Programme acknowledges exceptional industry achievements and the selected awardees are chosen after having demonstrated innovation, competitiveness and leadership in meeting the particular demands of doing business in Africa.
23 awardees were drawn from diverse sectors including information and communication, chemicals and materials, energy, transportation, healthcare and finance.
The ICT sector was strongly represented with Mi-Fone, T-Systems, ZTE, Intersec, Global Voice Group, Skyvision, Mahindra Comviva, Djibouti Data Center, EOH Cloud Services, Xlink, IBM, Health Window, and Orange, among the awardees.
The awards’ recipients were honoured for enabling technology, technology innovation, customer value enhancement, competitive strategy leadership, outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, and vertical market penetration, among other categories.
