Nokia Lumia 720 is the latest addition to the company’s growing line-up of Windows Phone 8 smartphones. It is a mid-range handset with slightly more advanced specs than the Lumia 620 and is expected to go on sale in April. In this article, we’ll be covering the specifications and features of this handset in brief.
Design:- In terms of design, the Lumia 720 doesn’t offer anything new compared to the other Lumia phones. It has a polycarbonate body which measures 5.04 x 2.66 x 0.35 inches and weighs in at 128 grams. The back panel can be interchanged so you get the option of buying additional covers of different colors to spice up the look of the handset.
Display:- The device offers a 4.3 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that can be used even with your gloves on. It has a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels, leading to a reasonable pixel density of 217 ppi. The screen is covered with toughened Corning Gorilla Glass 2 to prevent scratches and cracks from appearing due to falls. Furthermore, the display employs Nokia’s proprietary ClearBlack technology to provide an excellent outdoor viewing experience.
Connectivity:- The Nokia Lumia 720 is a 3G capable handset which can be operated on any of the quad-band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 2G networks or GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 3G networks. However, you won’t be able to use it on 4G networks as it doesn’t support LTE.
Camera:- The smartphone arrives with a 6.7 megapixel back-facing camera that has the ability to shoot still images up to a resolution of 2848 x 2144 pixels and 720 pixel videos at 30 frames per second. The camera has a f/1.9 lens with Carl Zeiss optics for improved low-light performance. You also get a second camera at the front with a 1.3 megapixel sensor, which can be used for 720p video calls and self-portrait shots.
Features:- The Nokia Lumia 720 runs on a dual-core 1 GHz processor and features Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system. It also has an Adreno 305 GPU for handling graphics, 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage space. Users can also use a microSD card of up to 64 GB if they require more storage space for their files.
Battery Performance:- The phone comes equipped with a non-removable 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery which promises to offer up to 520 hours of stand-by time and 13 hours of talk time. In terms of music play time, the battery can provide up to 79 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge.
