The Nokia 1020 has for a while now been known only by its code-name – the Nokia EOS. This new piece of hardware is meant to be unveiled today at a Nokia press event in New York dubbed the 41 Million Reasons Nokia #ZoomParty but it has already shown up on the inter-webs hours before launch. The phone will supposedly pack a 41 MegaPixel sensor that will enable zoom just like the Nokia 808 PureView had although this was PureView phase 1. What came next was the Lumia 920 although it has a much smaller sensor. This was compensated by including an optical image stabilizer and a focus on taking good pictures and video in low-light performance i.e. PureView phase 2.
