Connected Kenya is happening this week from the 15th to the 17th of April in Diani at the Coastal region of Kenya.
SAP, a platinum sponsor and Enterprise Application Software manufacturer, is going to be showcasing technology and services geared towards assisting the East Africa governments’ set up to become both efficient and innovative in its delivery of services to member citizens.
Andrew Waititu, SAP East Africa MD, gave the keynote address where covered the importance of sustainable, value driven investments in ICT that will focus on digital transformation as a pillar of economic growth.
At the summit, SAP Africa will also be demonstrating various new technology solutions, all of which can significantly improve the lives of Kenyan citizens.
“Leveraging world-class technology; SAP Africa is committed to partner collaboratively with both central government and the counties to help them prosper and improve the lives of all citizens,” commented Waititu.
SAP Africa’s Head of Public Sector, Agnes Gathaiya, will also be delivering a plenary presentation on County ICT Roadmaps titled ‘Challenges to counties moving from recurrent expenditure to creating real value to their citizens‘.
The presentation will also feature how several Kenyan counties are managing to develop effective technology road-maps and will be done by SAP Africa because they have worked with several counties and have managed to identify recurring themes and restraints preventing many of these counties from achieving their mandate. Key in the showcase will be an exploration of what possibilities and benefits innovative technologies can offer to counter some of these challenges.
