PigiaMe, an online marketplace that allows buyers and sellers to connect across Kenya has unveiled a new campaign that will seek to educate Kenyans about the opportunities of online classifieds.
The country wide campaign will see PigiaMe, a unit of Ringier Kenya, put major focus around the steps required in the buying and selling of quality products in an environment that is secure and trustworthy.
“With the current nationwide attention on staying safe online, PigiaMe has clearly hit a nerve with Kenyans. Our focus is quality over quantity. We want everyone to buy and sell items of high quality and doing safely so,” said James Gathere, the General Manager Ringier Kenya.
Gathere said PigiaMe is putting efforts to ensure that goods listed on the company’s site are genuine and good by going the extra mile to minimise the risk of fraudsters at a national level.
With the unused inventory by Kenyans being said to be more than KSh158 billion, the online platform says there is a lot of opportunities and interest especially when people are moving to cities as they require a place and means to live and communicate.
PigiaMe also offers a section where employers can advertise their job offers without any fee in their jobs category. Other categories on the site include Fashion, beauty products and a dating section.
With a selection of products and services according to location, price and how recent the post is, Kenyans can use the PigiaMe.co.ke platform without any charges or grab a copy of the PigiaMe Classifieds Magazine.
