ASUS To Bring In Gaming Products In The Kenyan Market

ASUS BRINGING GAMING HARDWARE TO KENYA

Another device manufacturer is planning to introduce a range of products specifically designed for the Kenyan market, including PCs, smartphones and even gaming products in a bid to improve its product portfolio.

Kenya has been identified as the target country for innovations and new product testing in the year 2015, as it continues to adopt new technologies rapidly to, especially in the mobile world and therefore attracting more tech players.

ASUS has announced it will introduce its very new smartphone, the Zenfone 2, locally in the Kenyan market, alongside other new products launched by the company at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held earlier this month in Las Vegas.

During the event, where manufacturers paraded their new toys, ASUS was awarded up to seven awards in the designs and engineering category, and with their adoption of very slim designs and latest processors, it is no surprise that they would be recognized.

In addition to the Zenfone 2, there is also the Transformer Book T300 Chi 2-in-1 detachable laptop that is planned to launch in the country by mid this year, as well as a gaming PC machine.

ASUS believes these new products will help meet the innovative demands that consumers in Kenya are looking for in the new technology age.

The manufacturer is banking on the innovativeness of their products to attract more consumers with the notion that consumers will prefer how innovative a product is as to the tech trends they might be aware of at the time.

Chris Wen, Product Manager at ASUS Kenya said, “The tech products in 2015 will be geared towards application of the innovative demands of the consumers as opposed to knowledge of the trends. The products that we’ll be introducing meet this demand.”

“Part of our strategy for this year will be to try and introduce locally the innovations that have already been unveiled elsewhere in more developed markets-almost concurrently,” Wen added.

Hoping to provide the feel of innovation that the company provides in other countries where it has introduced its latest technology products not available in Kenya at the moment, ASUS is now planning to launch these products in the country.

Other products introduced by ASUS at the Las Vegas show event included the ZenBook NX500 and ZenBook UX305 ultraportable laptops, the ROG GR8 ultra-compact gaming laptop and the curved-screen LX321 and LX341 monitors.
