Acer has unveiled the newest addition to its Liquid range of smartphones with the all new budget smartphone dubbed Liquid Z410, that will offer support for 4G LTE connectivity and will pack a 64-bit quad-core processor.
The Acer Liquid Z410 features a 4.5 inch screen display and promises to offer users a more transformed multimedia experience than its predecessors, with a better cinematic feel through a front facing 24-bit audio speaker that is powered by DTS Studio sound.
Running on Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat, the Liquid Z410 features a 5 megapixel rear camera alongside a 2 megapixel front-facing camera with a wide angle lens to allow for better selfie taking experience for the user.
In a time when selfies are popular and the “in-thing” around the world, the new Acer smartphone has an improved and interesting way of taking pictures, with its camera providing a feature for voice command.
By saying the word “cheese”, the Liquid Z410 will launch its back camera for a photograph, while the word “selfie” will automatically launch the phone’s front camera in preparation to snap after a 3 seconds countdown. How cool is that? – like all other voice command camera features, that’s how.
Details not in on the storage capacity yet, the smartphone boasts two Acer features, the AcerEXTEND and the Acer QuickTouch alongside an all new button called the AcerRAPID that is placed just under the camera.
The new AcerRAPID key allows users to have easy access to customizable actions in one quick touch, enabling better user experience with faster speed, flexibility as well as personalization.
While AcerEXTEND is a popular feature that allows users to control the device through cable or wirelessly using their Windows-based PC, the Acer Quick Touch is the other feature that allows the user to take control of their handsets by commanding it using a one-finger gesture.
The gesture could be in form of a letter C on the screen that launches the camera function, letter Z that launches the music plater, letter V that launches the dialer functions or even by swiping left or right to play a previous or next song.
All these features promise a better smartphone experience with convenience in device control and gives the Acer Liquid Z410 momentum to work faster.
Liquid Z410 will be available in Africa in the end of February and will start retailing at about KSh 14,000.
Acer will also make available the Liquid Jade S smartphone that it unveiled last month to the market by end of January, 2015.
The Jade S features support for 4G LTE, is powered by an octa-core processor that promises faster speed (2.5x) and spots a more improved camera at 13 Megapixel rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera.
While the Liquid Z410 comes in only the black colour, the Jade S will be available in both black and white and will be more expensive to price at about KSh 25,000.
