Kenyans will now be able to shop online and have their goods delivered to them at no charge if they choose to do buy various products through Kaymu, following a new offer from the Rocket Internet-backed company that comes as an early Easter present for buyers across the country.
Just last month, the online platform reduced its delivery charges from KSh200 to KSh70 and according to Aleeda Fazal, the Managing Director at Kaymu Kenya, the reduction attracted a positive response from customers and Kaymu hopes that customers will see the value that comes with this new free delivery offer.
The free shipping offer is, however, limited to the electronics and fashion categories that see a lot of orders and purchases, with no set limit for the amount you need to spend to get the free service so even with a single purchase for items in the two categories, delivery will be at no cost.
Customers wanting to enjoy the free shipping service from Kaymu will also be able to enjoy lower prices, a safe and easy payment system that requires a customer to pay on pickup of goods and a fast delivery, which the company says takes 2-4 days.
“Customers are doing all they can to save their money come this April holiday and we are excited to offer free shipment as an early Easter present to them,” says Fazal in a statement.
Now present in more than 35 countries across Africa and Asia, the online marketplace recently launched its mobile application that seeks to connect customers quicker to services offered as well as a revamped new website that allows every user to easily access what they want in no time, all in the hope of becoming the number one online shopping site for buyers and sellers online.
“We saw an enthusiastic response to our drop of shipment fee from Ksh200 to KSh70 over the past one month and we are hoping our customers will see even more value with this new free shipping offer,” Fazal adds.
