Samsung, a couple of months back, launched Project Tizen and subsequently a smartphone running the operating system that went for sale in the Indian market. The device is called the Samsung Z1 initially received a cold-ish reception in India but seems people have started to warm up to it.

Customers can also get free applications in 182 countries and with the option to buy paid apps in only 2 countries for now; India and Bangladesh.
